A Day in Lübeck

Hallo alles!

My sister and I recently spent a day in the city of Lübeck, about an hour North-East of the city of Hamburg.  If it sounds familiar, it might be because it is one of the major ports of Germany (...though it is more likely you recall it because most of my flights were out of Lubeck airport!).  The city itself is beautiful, because it is surrounded by water and because its Medieval influences are still evident today.

A Few Days in Southern Germany

Hallo again!

Continuing on from our trip to Austria, we flew from Vienna to Frankfurt, where we proceeded to take a train to Koblenz.  The entire week was a week of nostalgia for my sister because she had begun her journey in Salzburg 10 years ago, and had taught at a school in Montabaur (near Koblenz, which is between Frankfurt and Cologne) 4 years ago.  Though we only spent a few days there, it was enough time to get a good sense of the surrounding area.  The weather was cloudy and chilly, but the vibe was great!  I had some amazing views, took a tour of a castle, and visited various Christmas markets :)

It was a great trip, travelling through Austria and parts of Southern Germany.  Taking the train back to Hamburg was also a good experience because I was able to see a lot of Germany!  It was a wonderful experience, and I'm glad you were all able to take a glimpse into my week.  Until next time - cheers!
